Many first time parents will be on the look out for nursery furniture, including a wardrobe for their little one. Its often a common mistake to buy a wardrobe that is intended solely for those baby years, without considering the fact that a wardrobe can be bought for a baby, and stay with him or her as they grow into a toddler, and even a young child. Many nursery wardrobes are shorter than standard wardrobes, and are only practical for those first few years. So, it is best to consider the long-term, right from the beginning.
Movie pre-production for wardrobe can start about six weeks ahead of shooting. The director and/or producers are shown drawn artist conceptions, coloured and swatched with small pieces of costume for each character. These samplings offer an idea of what the proposed costumes/wardrobe will be worn by the actors. Instructions are given about the cut and fit of the costumes, alterations to existing stock, etc. Costumes built or made from scratch usually involve a costume designer. The designer researches the era or time period, shops for the materials, designs the ideas/concepts and puts together the pieces for the costumes. Costumes designed by designers are primarily Historical or period pieces, fantasy pieces and/or modern/futuristic.
Wardrobes can be a small corner in the house or a room large enough for us to walk in and get ready there. The walk in wardrobe is large enough to walk inside to store clothes or other objects, on two or three sides. They may have lighting, mirrors, and flooring distinct from adjacent rooms. A wardrobe can comprise of multiple sections meant for keeping in various things. While one section can handle your cosmetics, the other can take care of your bags. The upper section is generally confined for jeans where as the lower one for tees and formal shirts. The most important factor when choosing the wardrobe is seeing its flexibility and the ability to store everything, from your vintage clothing to your impulsive buys or some random thing you picked up from the flea market. Every blouse, jumper and scarf should be in place.
The final aspect of wardrobe design is what the wardrobe will be used for: An active childs daily dressing routine? Storage of spare bedding and linens? Or will it stand empty until people visit? Knowing what youre going to put in the wardrobe will guide you in your wardrobe design decisions, and help you figure out whether something stock will work for you or if you need to have something custom-built. Dont discount the power of the wardrobe! It has a tremendous effect on the overall success of your room design. A wardrobe that doesnt match the rest of the room will stick out like a sore thumb and look awful. And a wardrobe that doesnt function well is a waste of valuable space - not to mention priceless storage. When tackling a wardrobe problem, take your time and work through these three steps thoughtfully to ensure you make the right choices.
