Productions give the costume designer/wardrobe department a budget. For everyday clothing bought from stores, but not selected by the director for the performers, will be returned to the various stores for refund. Wardrobe warehouses boast rows and rows ceiling high of costumes ready to be rented for specific period pieces. Costume stock are pulled from their racks and shelves ready to clothe the actors. These warehouses also have boxes and boxes and boxes of accessories as well. From all the different types and sizes of footwear, hats, gloves, jewellery to masks, head-gear, underwear or other uncommon specialty items such as army fatigues, peasant rags or zombie duds, etc.
A pine 3 door wardrobe will include all of the painted wardrobe types mentioned earlier. Pine triple wardrobes are one of the two common wood types used to build wardrobes. The other is oak. As far as style is concerned, some people may prefer the style of natural pine which is less knotted than that of oak. Other than style there are a few other interesting considerations. Triple pine wardrobes are more cost effective than their oak counterparts as they are easier to source and work with. They also take to paint fairly easily unlike oak which does not. The only real drawback is that the wood is not as durable as oak over the long term. An oak 3 door wardrobe as was just hinted at, is a very strong wood. We have all heard of an antique oak coffee table before. Oak is very durable and robust - why else is would it remain one of the most common construction materials used today in buildings and furniture alike? So while pine could easily last up to 10 years without starting to splinter or fall apart, triple oak wardrobes will keep going. But this benefit of oak is also a downfall and makes it more expensive to buy.
The cost of antique wardrobes can be prohibitive. The expense of any restorative work performed is added into the price. The history of the piece may have significance; therefore, you are essentially buying a piece of history. An alternative to this would be to search flea markets for antique wardrobes and do the restoration work yourself. This allows you to create a wardrobe that is uniquely yours. However, this can be a very time-consuming task depending on the age, condition and size of the wardrobe. Purchasing an antique wardrobe is environmentally responsible. You are buying an existing piece and preserving our natural resources. There is a very large market currently for antique wardrobes. They combine the functionality of todays furniture with the character and beauty of history, while not taking anything from the environment.
Creating a wardrobe design to make your own wardrobe can be the best way to ensure that you get a wardrobe that is created specifically for you. Creating a custom wardrobe design will allow you to factor in the various elements of your rooms decor, your use of the wardrobe, and how much use the wardrobe will receive. The first thing to consider is where the wardrobe will go. Do you have a special niche for it, or will one need to be created? Will the closet need to be built into the wall, or will you need a free standing wardrobe? Evaluate the space in which you want to build your custom wardrobe, and see how much space you can work with.
The large doors can have one of many characteristics such as the knots and gains in the wood producing a beautiful wardrobe door but for added functionality, it can be very common for a full length mirror to be build into one of the double doors. With a triple wardrobe, you usually find a similar mirror down the middle of the wardrobe with a single door either side and in total, giving the wardrobe its triple size definition. Double wardrobes when opened, have a large space for hanging clothing with a clothes rail spanning the full length of the wardrobe. Many people use this hanging rail for every day clothes, work clothes, hanging ties or even a shoe hanging rack which can store a pair of shoes away from the bottom of the wardrobe.
