The final aspect of wardrobe design is what the wardrobe will be used for: An active childs daily dressing routine? Storage of spare bedding and linens? Or will it stand empty until people visit? Knowing what youre going to put in the wardrobe will guide you in your wardrobe design decisions, and help you figure out whether something stock will work for you or if you need to have something custom-built. Dont discount the power of the wardrobe! It has a tremendous effect on the overall success of your room design. A wardrobe that doesnt match the rest of the room will stick out like a sore thumb and look awful. And a wardrobe that doesnt function well is a waste of valuable space - not to mention priceless storage. When tackling a wardrobe problem, take your time and work through these three steps thoughtfully to ensure you make the right choices.
Establishing your price is one of the first steps. Do you want to buy cheap, and replace the wardrobe in a few years time? Or would you rather invest into something that will last your child, maybe right into their teens? This is an individual thing, and there is no right or wrong. There are also plenty of cheap childrens wardrobes on the market, that look way more expensive than they actually are. Shop around, is the key! Whilst a wooden wardrobe for children will add a warming touch, there are many wardrobes made from other materials that have, for example, been finished in high gloss, for a funky and modern feel. Pay careful attention to the handles - metal handles on a white gloss wardrobe can be just the finishing touch, as can smooth, round wooden handles on a pine wardrobe. This will obviously be dependent on the size of the room. To squeeze more storage space out of your wardrobe, you may want to consider buying a childrens wardrobe that has storage drawers as well. Also look at the hanging space internally - are there two rails, or one?
However, if you are only looking for a simple custom design wardrobe, you will find that the regular custom design wardrobe options will be sufficient. The regular custom designs allow you to choose the dimensions, designs, and style of your wardrobe from existing models offered by the designer. All of the options that you are presented with are already in existence and have been manufactured by the wardrobe design company, but you are able to customize the installation and design. Using a custom wardrobe doesnt mean that you are getting one made specifically for you according to your request. You are getting a wardrobe that is already in existence, and it is being modified to meet your space and style requirements. This makes the price of these designer wardrobe options much cheaper, as they dont need to be made by hand. Seeing as they are part of an existing design by the manufacturing company, a custom designer wardrobe is much cheaper than a bespoke solution would be.
A 3 door wardrobe can come in a variety of styles. First things first though, you should have already measured your bedroom to ensure that you have enough space to accommodate it. Lets look at some of them. One of the first things people think about when buying their new armoire is what colour they actually want to have in their bedroom. So for some people they will default to the natural wood colour. In and of itself, natural wood can vary in shades though, so if you are a bit concerned about that you will need to think about whether your 3 doors wardrobe should be in a light or dark shade / tone. For other people, they will actually want to have their wardrobe with 3 doors to be in a painted colour. The most common painted colours available are white, cream (or beige) and ivory. These can look great in any bedroom, although with a white 3 door wardrobe in particular you will have to consider that you will need to clean it regularly as dirt will show up more easily on lighter colours. On the flip side, you could also get yourself a black 3 door wardrobe. This colour is quite a nice colour to have, but is also harder to get - obviously how it fits in with your bedroom depends upon your colour scheme and decor. You can get these wardrobes with different coloured trims, or with patterns, some with striking contrasts.
